We packed up our tents, bid adieu to buffalo poop, and left the North Dakota Badlands. (See previous blog entry for photos from our ND Badlands trip, including Jonah's close encounter with a bison!) We were headed to Silver Gate, Montana!
We had to go through Bear Tooth Pass, first. We had some awesome views.

Monday, July 2nd, 2012Our first day in Yellowstone! We saw Mammoth Hot Springs, Hellroaring Creek, and did some wildlife viewing in the Lamar Valley. We rented a cabin that was less than a mile from the Yellowstone gate.

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012Our second day in Yellowstone! We visited Old Faithful and saw the area that was burned in the 1988 fires.

Wednesday, July 4th, 2012
Our third and final day in Yellowstone! We saw the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River! We also hoped to see more bears and maybe even a wolf.
On Thursday we packed up and headed to our tent/cabin at Colter Bay (see map above) to see the Grand Tetons!
